Energize Smoothie Recipe

Need to energize your day? Filled with antioxidants, quality protein, and healthy fats, this smoothie makes the perfect breakfast that will keep you full and focused. You can also enjoy it as a post-workout fuel. I created this smoothie as one of my Brain Smoothie Recipes because the antioxidants in the blueberries, banana, and acai counteract the damaging effects of inflammation and oxidation in brain cells, which can negatively affect memory and learning. Pumpkin Seeds are a great source of Zinc, while walnuts are high in Omega 3-s fatty acids like DHA. Raw Cacao improves the blood flow to the brain, increasing focus.

Ingredients 

  • 1 cup wild blueberries

  • 1/2 banana

  • 2 scoops Pea Protein (chocolate flavor)

  • 1 Tbs. Raw Cacao

  • 1 Tsp. Acai Powder

  • 1 Tbs pumpkin seeds

  • 1 Tbs. Walnuts

  • 1/2 cup water

Instructions

  • Add all ingredients to blender and press BLEND

  • BONUS: have a dance party while you wait!
